Photo diary – September 2014

The past few month have been quite busy, but I really enjoyed them! See here my photo dairy from July till September.

I shot my first wedding in Holland (the other one I did in Italy). A few weeks ago I already wrote something about the wedding in the other post HERE. This are some black and white results I would like to share:

I had to move out my lovely white apartment (click here) unfortunately, but at the other side, it was really nice to decorate my new small room. I’ll make a new post about this soon because I’m fond of white interiors the last few years :)

Since the first of September I’m part of the Chapter Friday team as a photography intern. This blog is an online toolkit to an awesome and successful life, curated by Yara Michels.  I already followed here since her blog was called ‘This Chick Got Style’ and it’s amazing to be part of the new concept now with the other two girls Kelly and Judith.  I’ll work there till the end of January 2015. The office is located in Amsterdam, and I’m in love with this city, it makes me smile every time again!

        What is CHAPTER FRIDAY?
“Yara defines this new career platform as an online toolbox for go-getter girls. CHAPTER FRIDAY is a girls’ guide to an awesome and successful life. It’s your online toolkit to navigate the creative career industry, using my insider tips, years of business experience and elaborate (fashion) network.

“CHAPTER FRIDAY is where I share all the lessons I’ve learned along the way. You’ll find behind-the-scenes insights and I’ll share tricks of the fashion, beauty and lifestyle trade that you won’t easily come by online. For all girls who want to run the world (insert Beyoncé tune)! Or their own business… to begin with.” ” source:

Besides Chapter Friday and my other job at Kamera Express I didn’t stop with my photography business of course, I also did some nice assignments! At the picture below you see the beautiful location of the shoot I did for THE NEXT CLOSET. This is an exclusive resale platform for designer fashion. We made the winter/holidays campaign with amazing dresses, high heels and jackets from high end fashion brands. I can’t wait to share the results!

The other photo shoot was a lookbook for JUPE BY JACKIE. The model is Saadi @ Elvis Models, love her face! I liked to see the particular and original style of Jupe. We have spent a long day in the studio to capture all the products, but with a nice and hard working team it’s always fun.

“Sold in high end boutiques around the world, Jupe can be found at Colette Paris, Dover Street Market, Barney’s New York and Comme des Garcons’ Trading Museum in Tokyo.”

At the left: One picture of the lookbook shoot we did for designer Milou van Esch is published in the October issue of the Dutch GLAMOUR Magazine! (p. 84)
At the right: I discovered my picture in the Dutch Photo Digitaal Magazine (#50 p.77). Next month they will publish some of my pictures and a small interview!

A few months ago I shot the iNDiViDUALS A/W 14-15 ‘Wednesday” collection, and the garments are in store now! You can see my picture at the window at the BY AMFI Concept Store, Spui 23, Amsterdam.

TV publication! I worked a few times with stylist Kim Arnold, and she is part of a new Dutch TV program (Hip voor Nop, NPO3). I just watched the show and I recognized 4 of my pictures, 3 backstage pictures and the picture we made for Frenchonista with Beertje van Beers and Carolien Spoor.

When I’m in the studio, I love to work with backdrops from Savage Universal. They have a different types of backdrops, and for this shoot I used the Hand Painted Muslin ‘Milano’. Click here to read my review and see the gallery!
