It’s that time of the year again that I’m thinking about my resolutions for the new year. A question that I’m asking myself frequently is: Do I want to do less shoots with more passion or more shoots to be productive, learn more of every shoot and meet new people in a short amount of time? I prefer to do a few shoots a month, of course I do the paid jobs, but right now I’m talking about the shoots that I create to expand my portfolio. I want to find the right balance of creating many fashion editorials and portraits, but all with a high quality. The time of shooting because I just want to shoot is over, only high quality work is allowed! But I must admit, sometimes you don’t know how the results will turn out, maybe the model, the light, the location, the clothes or the makeup isn’t what you expected. But I always try to make the best of it, and if it’s not what I expected to be, I make sure I learned a lesson from it!
I really want to take my photography business to the next level in 2017 so I’m thinking about every step I take to make sure I’m in the right direction. This is the year that I’m in love with photography for already 10 years so it’s the perfect time to make it a special one!
