The First Images of our Amazing Norway Road Trip

It was so good to be back in Norway after exactly one year! Last year we’ve been in this beautiful country for two weeks, this time we wanted to discover even more, so we stayed for three weeks. We captured a new editorial for one of my clients, like we also did last year. It was the perfect way for us to combine a holiday with work, because we love our jobs and we love to create content during our travels. I really hope we can do this even more in the future and it would be great to also capture campaigns for different brands.

We slept in our roof tent (Sheepie Yuna by daktent.nl) for 50% of the trip, the other 50% we stayed in typical wooden cabins and hotels. Because of the storm we had and the cold nights we didn’t want to spend all the nights in the roof tent. I know a lot of people sleep in a tent even in the snow, but we both are not huge fan of camping, so just did what felt the most comfortable for us.

We started our trip in Øvre Eidfjord were we stayed for 2 days. There we discovered Route 7, Voringfossen waterfall and a part of Hardangervidda. Our next stop was Fagernes (no images) and then we went up to Route 51 and 55 what was amazing! Jotunheimen National Park is a must visit, and we were super lucky with the weather so we captured a lot of images for the campaign shoot. The first days we had a lot of rain so we were very happy to enjoy these landscapes with some sunshine. My boyfriend Eric created a video in Dutch about this day, which I will also share in this post.

We captured the campaign with the Canon EOS R + RF 28-70mm f/2.0 and the RF 85mm f/1.2. Once the campaign got published I’m able to share more about this. Our travel images are captured with this camera as well, but also with the Fujifilm X-T3 + XF 23mm f/2.0 and XF 50mm f/2.0. Have a look at the first images, I will create more posts about our other days as well!
