10 Years Of Photography – My Camera’s 2006 – 2016
At the age of 13 I made photos with the compact camera of my parents, after a while it was time for my own camera, a Super Zoom camera. My love for photography grow even stronger and it time for a more professional camera! I remember the day when I bought my first DSLR camera in 2006, the Canon EOS 400D. I was 15 years old and I made photos of my sister, friends, my dog and the nature.
At the age of 17 I applied for the Art School and in the second grade (2009) it was time for an upgrade. My favorite lens was Canon 17-55mm f/2.8 so I decided to buy another crop sensor camera. The Canon EOS 7D. This camera was with me during the semester in Milan, where I studied at the Academia di Belli Arti Di Brera.
At the end of 2012, right before my graduation I wanted to upgrade my camera from crop sensor to full frame, Canon released 2 new camera’s: the 6D and the 5D mark III, I had two options: buying the 6D with a 24-70mm lens (occasion, so it was a little cheaper) or the 5D mark III without any lens for the same price. I decided to go for the 6D and the lens and I was very happy with my choice!
After almost 4 years of using my 6D it was time for the next step. I was waiting for the 5D mark IV. I was very excited when this camera was released in September 2016 and after three weeks I decided to go for it! I’m looking forward for the upcoming shoots with this camera. I think with this DSLR camera in combination with the Olympus PEN, I have a great kit for every occasion!
10 years of photography – time flies when you’re having fun!
What was your first camera?
