        Is It December Already?

I just finished the first December shoot of the year, we captured new campaign images for a big shoe store in The Netherlands. We worked with a nice team, build some festive settings and it was very fun to listen to Christmas songs already!

I’ve been shooting with three Profoto D1 lights with the following light shapers: giant reflectorΒ 240, big softbox and a striplight with a grid. I love to work with Profoto and it was a pleasure to shoot in Studio34X with these amazing lightshapers. I captured everything with my Canon EOS 5D Mark IV + Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 L II. As soon as the client will publish the results, I can share them on my blog as well.

Hi, I love your blog! I’d like to learn more about why you shoot with the giant reflector. Why not a 5ft octa, or a 7 ft umbrella? Understand the differences would help me better understand why I should choice specific modifiers. I was thinking about getting a 5ft octabox for soft light but that giant reflector looks so cool for fashion. Adore a has a 180cm reflector with out the center parabolic shaft for a good price. Not sure if should get that or the 5ft octabox. (The octa is more practical though.)
