Editorial / I Am A Man

A few weeks ago I did a really fun shoot for Ilona Simons’ graduation collection from the art academy in Maastricht. I have worked with Ilona before last year and it was so great to see how much she’s grown as a designer. Her collection felt complete.
Ilona Simons has always been fascinated with men whose wardrobe doesn’t fit the common perception we have of men’s clothing. Her ‘modern man’ has his own style, is proud of the way he dresses and isn’t afraid to show off his roots. Both the designs and the material were made by Simons. The collection clearly echoes her passion for mechanics, as it combines urban wear with classic craftsmanship. (source: fashionweek.nl)
