California Road Trip Part II – San Francisco and Yosemite
This post is about 2 very special destinations of our trip! We spend 2 nights in San Francisco and the same in Yosemite National Park. After the beautiful coastal route we arrived in San Francisco at night. The next morning we were very excited to discover the city by daylight so we went out, bought a coffee and breakfast at Peet’s Coffee and walked around with our camera around our neck. I decided to wear comfy Nike sneakers because we decided to see as much as possible in 1 day. And so we did! It was Saturday so it was quite crowed at some places. We had a great time at the Marshall’s Beach with the Golden Gate Bridge and by the end of the day we walked back to the hotel across the famous streets and shopping center. I would love to go back to this city for a couple of days! Sunday by the end of the day we arrived in the Yosemite View Lodge, a great lodge right outside the Yosemite National Park. We were lucky with our big room with a balcony above the Merced River and a spa tub. We both love the nature and Yosemite was one of our highlight during this trip. It was very cold in the park and very cloudy the most of the time. The next day they expected a snow storm so we had to leave the next day because our rental car was not allowed to drive with snow chains.. It was a long but wonderful day that we will never forget! Can’t wait to go back during Spring or Summer, because some roads with beautiful views were closed during Winter season. We didn’t see any bears, but I absolutely don’t mind.. It was pretty scarry sometimes because with every noise behind you, you imagine there is a big bear watching you! ;)
