Behind The Scenes – Good To Be Back

The end of April and May has been a little bit strange for me, due to health problems I had to spend 3 weeks in the hospital. First one week, then we thought it was all good but it wasn’t at all, so I had to go back for another two weeks. I don’t feel I have to share the details on this blog, but I came to realize again how important photography is for me. I really missed shooting, working on my blog and getting in touch with new clients and team members. Luckily I already organized a couple of commercial shoots for June and early July and I’m very excited to work on these projects. In July I want to focus more on my portfolio, so currently I’m creating new moodboards and I’m getting in touch with stylists and makeup artists for new collaborations.

Yesterday was my first shoot after a month. We had to create an editorial for fashion designer Karina Krijgsman, I already know her for eight years now and it was good to work together again. Together with makeup artist Hanan Chahid and model Iris @ Touche Models we shot at a farm where we had the perfect Dutch Landscapes to use as the backdrop. In the morning we had to wait quite a long time for the rain to stop, but then we could finally start and we had a really fun day! I captured everything with my Canon EOS 5D Mark IV + Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 II + Sigma ART 50mm f/1.4 lenses. Later this month I can show you the results, but for now I have some behind the scenes photos!
