Behind The Scenes – Shoots In Geneva

When you follow me on Instagram, you might noticed that I did a photoshoot in Geneva, Switzerland a few days ago. I was there because Eric and I had to work at the Geneva Motor Show for 2 days, so we decided to stay a little longer to discover the city and nature a little bit more and to create a portrait/fashion shoot as well. Unfortunately the weather was very bad and we didn’t liked the places that much as we expected.

I contacted two model agencies and arranged to work with 3 models one month before this trip, and on Google Maps I tried to find good location in the city, but it was very hard to find locations this way. The day before the shoot we scouted a park next to the lake with a beautiful building. This was the kind of location I was looking for: quiet, photogenic and a restroom very close by to change clothes.

Luckily there was almost no rain during my outdoor shoot, but the lightning wasn’t inspiring at all. We started with the first model and after a few outfit switches we finished the first shoot and had a break. During that break the next model cancelled for the shoot that was planned for 30 minutes later.. I was so happy that her agency contacted me and suggested me new models. We went back to the location and we captured the next male model. Then, one hour before sunset the final model arrived and we had to hurry because the park would also close at sunset. In the end I’m very happy with the results and I will edit them this week!

Eric captured a behind the scenes story with the Fujifilm XT-3 + Fujifilm XF 23mm f/2.0 and I captured the models with the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV + Sigma ART 35mm + 85mm f/1.4.
