Last week I did a very special shoot, but this time not alone. If you follow me on Instagram (@liselottefleur) you might know that my boyfriend Eric van Vuuren works as a filmmaker and photographer as well (mostly for automotive brands). We were talking about possible collaborations but we only made some portfolio work together. Until MAYKE (a high end shoe store) asked us to capture their new campaign and editorial shoot! I worked with them twice and I was happy to work for them again and we were very excited to work together on a commercial project!
Eric made the video and I did the photography. We had to capture a lot of outfits so we had to work at the same time. This means I wasn’t able to use my flash lights otherwise I would disturb his video at every flash. We decided to work with the available daylight from the windows but we also rented some daylight lamps and a huge diffuser screen to create the right atmosphere.
We changed the background at almost every photo and we had two models so we had to work quite fast. We were very happy with our assistant Mick who helped us with the lights. We can’t wait to show the results!
I shot everything with the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV + Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 L II + SIGMA ART 85mm f/1.4. Eric worked with the Panasonic GH5 and different lenses.
Thanks Mick Gooren for being our assistant and for the behind the scenes photos!
