Behind The Scenes – Summer In The Netherlands

Last week I did two shoots on beautiful locations throughout the country. You would expect that the weather would be amazing since it’s July, but Dutch weather is always unpredictable so it was pouring most of the time. But the rain actually made it so much more fun and creative! Below you can see the behind the scenes photos captured by my photography intern Nienke Monster. We also made a behind the scenes video so keep an eye on my Youtube channel!

The first shoot was in the dunes and the dark sky and wild nature really made the winter collection pop. We didn’t have a place to do makeup and styling, so we did everything from our car in the parking lot. Glamorous, right? I had a great time with the team and I think together we created a gorgeous editorial!

The second shoot was in the fields near Hilversum. Four models wanted to do a shoot together and approached me to do the shoot. I’ve worked with all the girls before, so I was very excited to work with them together. You could tell the models were great friends, because they were joking around in between sets and they were really comfortable working with each other.
