12 Pretty Models Without Makeup

A while ago I preferred to capture models in a very natural way, what means: no makeup allowed! I invited these agency represented girls at my home studio, and later on we also went outside to make some daylight portraits. For this project I traveled to Milan and Rome where I visited different model agencies. They showed me a few of their models and we made some appointments!

During these little photo shoots it was just me and the model (indeed, this time no stylist or makeup artist). It was a great experience to be alone with the models and I loved to hear all their stories. Also in Italy I had a good time with the girls, some of them came also from another country and they told me about their experiences in Italy and their travels and job as a model.

Why I wanted to capture these girls without makeup? Because at every photo shoot I did before, I met the model with a clean face before the makeup artist will do her work. And sometimes I was more impressed by their natural beauty than by their face with lots of makeup on.

I wanted to capture their natural beauty. For the model and her agency it was good to make new natural pictures too (to use for her book). Yep, win-win!

The last portrait shoot I did was in April 2014, so yes, it’s time for me to work on a new concept about natural beauty. To be continued! And don’t get me wrong, I still LOVE makeup and the amazing work of makeup artists :)
