        Zoom Lens, Welcome Back

Last year I decided to sell my Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 zoomlens and work with 4 prime lenses during my photo shoots (35mm, 40mm, 50mm, 100mm). It was a very good choice, but I missed working with a zoomlens at sandy or dusty locations, where I don’t prefer to switch lenses to avoid the annoying sand and dust in the sensor.

Or in the studio while working with deadlines. I was also looking for a 24mm lens, but they are quite expensive as you probably know. I thought it would be better to buy the Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 II. Yes, it’s not exactly the same, because this is the newer version (mark II) and he is much better! So I made a little dance yesterday evening during the golding hour while testing the lens for the first time, actually my sister and I where a bit too late as you can see. But I like the mysterious ambiance haha. This are the pics she made. A funny thing, when I ask somebody to make a picture of me with my camera, the most of the pictures are not sharp because they focus on the background instead of me haha.

Next week I’ll use this lens during a photo shoot so I can show you the results soon! Do you prefer a zoom lens or a prime lens? Personally, I love prime lenses! The Sigma ART 35mm is my favorite at the moment, and I’m still waiting for the ART 85mm to arrive :) Read more about my portrait lenses here.
