Behind The Scenes – Concept Store + Clean Studio Shoot

Last weekend was quite exciting for me; I bought new professional studio lighting! I worked with Profoto monolights a few times, and I was very impressed by the quality and the huge range of light shaping tools. I decided to go for a studio kit with 2 Profoto D1 lights, 2 umbrella’s, 2 tripods, an air remote and a bag. The umbrella’s are size S, so I also chose for the Softbox RFi 5′ Octa (150cm). On sunday I had the change to try them out at a shoot for the IWSBS concept store in Rotterdam!

The IWSBS (I Was Styled By Sophie) is a really nice store in Roterdam, founded by two designers Sophie and Michou (you see them in the picture below)  They offer a platform for young upcoming designers and artists to show their talent. We all studied at the same art academy but this was the first time we met. This day we shot some pictures for their website. It was a very nice space with as you can see in the first picture of this post. A lot of daylight and a high ceiling, what is great for studio work! My compliments for Sophie and Michou, and their intern Linsey :)

        Clean White

The day after I went to studio34x to capture an white and clean editorial. The concept and styling was done by Annelies Wiersma and the beautiful hair and make-up by Felicia Williams. We started with Lois @ Elite Model Managament, and at the end of the day Patty @ De Boekers joined us! She also brought her beautiful dog for the final shot! I worked with the Profoto Giant Reflector (240cm) on a white background and the Broncolor Para 88 for the black background. I can’t wait to start edit this editorial in Photoshop!
